Spring is tantalisingly close!
But luckily we are once again blessed with some fabulous and free Sydney events this weekend.
The Sydney Science Festival is wrapping up. The Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off along with a baby fair, youth disco and some great family fairs.
And let’s not forget FREE entry this weekend to the Powerhouse Museum.

Sydney Science Festival
The Sydney Science Festival finishes this weekend. There are some great events on including:
- Kids go free at Taronga Zoo: on Saturday 17th August kids get free entry to Taronga Zoo
- Gondwana Garden at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah: take a trip through time to the land of Gondwana and discover whole new world.
- Living Laboratory at the Royal Botanic Gardens: a free one-day outdoor festival at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney celebrating all things science.
- Innovation Games, at Giants Stadium: enjoy drone simulations, Big Science shows, wildlife demonstrations, skate science and more!

Cherry Blossom Festival
One of Sydney’s best annual events, the Cherry Blossom Festival is not to be missed!! This weekend is the opening weekend, with the event running until 25 August 2019.There are different themes for each day so make sure to check the program for full details.

Feel the Beat Youth Festival
Campbelltown Council in conjunction with The Disability Trust will host Campbelltown’s first ever inclusive and accessible youth music event. There will be live entertainment on stage with loads of free activities to do including tattoo spraying, henna tattoos, photo booth, flower crown making and more!

One Fine Baby, Baby Fair
This FREE two-day event brings together more than 100 baby and kid brands and services. Enjoy the atmosphere, with show specials, competitions and giveaways. There will also be craft activities, play areas and entertainment as well as delicious food and coffee.

Picnic Under the Stars, The Australian Botanic Garden
Enjoy a very special picnic under the stars! The Macarthur Astronomical Society will set up their telescopes for you to peer into and local astronomers will explain what you can see in the wide sky over the the beautiful garden.

Tour the Museum of Human Disease
Not one for the squeamish, but why not come along for a tour of the Museum of Human Disease. There will be a 20-minute tour of their collection of diseased human specimens including HIV/AIDs, cancer, stroke, heart attack, diabetes, genetic diseases and the effects of drugs.
