Free Sydney Opera House Entry and Tour
Enjoy Free Sydney Opera House Entry on Sunday 23 February 2020
It is not often that the Sydney Opera House offers free entry! In fact generally there are only a few areas of the Opera House that you can see for free.
So put aside Sunday 23 February to enjoy a special offer from the Sydney Opera House – a FREE behind the scenes tour of the Sydney Opera House’s Joan Sutherland Theatre.
The tour will let visitors meet some of the people that bring opera to the stage. You will get to see some of the works that they do behind the scenes as well as demonstrations and displays.
Sessions will include time in the Theatre itself as well as demonstrations in the foyer – try on a real life opera costume, check out some wigs, models, props and scores, see how make-up is applied and watch how a wig is made.
Tours will run at 12.00pm, 12:30pm, 1.00pm, 1:30pm, 2.00pm, 2:30pm and 3.00pm.
You will need to book for a timed session, then you can spend as much time as you like looking at the displays and talking to the Sydney Opera House staff.
It is expected you’ll be there for around 1 hour.
