Just in time for the July school holidays there are some excellent, value packed pop-up ice skating rinks coming to Sydney. 

If you are anything like me I am always on the lookout for things to amuse the kids that won’t break the bank. These rinks all look pretty amazing and with some free options I am definitely going to be visiting some of these in the school holidays.

So why not check out some of these free and cheap ice skating options for your kids – or you! – this July.

Bastille Festival

The Bastille Festival is one to put in the diary! This amazing festival will run in The Rocks from 11 to 14 July 2019.

This year they are launching a magical Ski Village! Wowsers. Visitors will enjoy an alpine skiing atmosphere with snow and vintage ski racks, melting cheese and mulled wine.

And best of all if the kidlets come they’ve got you covered with a free-entry mini ice skating rink, which is exclusively for the kids.

The FREE 7 x 5 metre ice skating rink is for kids under 10 years of age. Kids will be able to enjoy 15 minutes sessions from 10.00am to 7.00pm from Thursday 11 to Friday 14 July 2019.

Kareela Village Ice Skating

As part of their Winter Wonderland Festival, Kareela Village will be providing FREE ice skating from 11 to 17 July. A great cheap school holiday activity!

They will be providing a 90msq ice rink for both adults and kids and they’ll have SNOW!

They will also have art and craft activities.

And best of all, it is FREE!

Camden Winter Wonderland

Come along and enjoy Camden’s first ever Winterfest event!

The event will run from 12 to 14 July from 10.00am to 9.00pm and will have a huge range of free and cheap activities.

Ice skating will be available for $5.00 per person with a 20 minutes skate.

You’ll also enjoy face painting, jumping castles, entertainment and a winter market.

Fairfield Icetopia

Put Icetopia in the diary and enjoy some great entertainment, music, amazing lighting and some winter decorations.

Ramsgate RSL Winter Wonderland

Ramsgate RSL is bringing winter to Sydney’s south.

Kids age 5 – 14 will be able to enjoy a one hour ice skating session for $15.00 and receive a FREE glow in the dark wrist band.
