Taking a ferry to Manly must be one of the very best things to do in Sydney.
Of course one of the main attractions of Manly is its beaches – Queenscliff to the very north (which has an ocean pool and can have excellent surf conditions), North Steyne (next to Queenscliff although without any real border), South Steyne and Fairy Bower. There is also Shelly Beach around the corner. Bring along a volleyball ball and enjoy a free game on the beach (with nets set up ready to go and free to use).
There are also many great free activities including visiting North Head Sanctuary ,popping into the Manly Art Gallery or the Manly Environment Centre. Kids will enjoy Manly Skatepark
Spend a day relaxing at Manly Dam or get the runners out and go for one of the many walks in and around Manly.
A truly magic day out.
Note: the precinct is open 24 hours a day, however individual attractions will have their own opening hours.
