The Museums Discovery Centre was re-opened in 2016. It is a collaboration between the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS), Australia Museum and Sydney Living Museums.
The Discovery Centre is home to millions of treasures located within six key areas – technology, history of everyday life in New South Wales, art and design, architectural elements, nature and science and machines.
Fascinating for all age groups there is also a kids activity section in the reception area.
Enjoy a FREE Highlights Tour at 11.30am each day . Visitors can also view items in ‘Visible Storage’ or ‘Deep Storage’ by booking a Group Tour (additional cost).
Limited FREE parking is available. Entry to the museum is via the TAFE gate on Green Road, just off Showground Road.
Please note: Last entry is at 4.00pm each day.
