Pirrama Park is a great park located in Pyrmont in the west of Sydney’s CBD. This 1.8 hectare park offers a lot for city dwellers and visitors alike.
The park includes large grassy areas, a playground (and water play area), BBQ facilities and also an on-site cafe. There is an accessible spinner in the playground to ensure kids of all ages and disabilities can join in.
When you are here you will enjoy great views of Sydney Harbour, the Harbour Bridge, and Anzac Bridge. There are also some impressive sculptures to admire.
The Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture awarded Pirrama Park for its stunning design in 2012.
Pirrama Park honours the first Australians who lived in the area. It means ‘rocking stone’ in the Gadigal language.
