If you have the stamina to climb the 200 odd stairs, then the Pylon Lookout is truly a fantastic way to get a most breathtaking view of Sydney. Visitors can see across to the Opera House and Circular Quay and out to the surrounding areas of Sydney.
The Lookout also features three levels of exhibits (good for a breather!) which detail the history of the construction of the Bridge.
The Lookout is located in the South East Pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
To access the Lookout, visitors should use the pedestrian pathway located on the eastern side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (via the Bridge Stairs on Cumberland Street, The Rocks). Or if coming from the north use the Sydney Habour Bridge steps which are located near Milsons Point Railway Station. Download a location map before heading off.
Entry fees do apply, but are well worth it!
