The SH Ervin Gallery is run by the National Trust and located on-site at Observatory Hill in the National Trust Centre.
Each year the Gallery hosts seven exhibitions (including travelling exhibitions) which focus on the work of Australian artists.
One of the most popular reasons to visit the Gallery is to see their annual shows which include the Salon des Refusés: The alternative Archibald and Wynne Prize , and the Portia Geach Memorial Award for women artists. The Salon des Refusés is especially popular as it showcases the Archibald entries that were not selected to be hung as part of the main exhibition.
Make sure to look at their What’s On page for the latest exhibitions.
The Gallery also has a small gift shop which sells art related items and a cafe .
To get to the Gallery follow Watson Road past the Sydney Observatory to the National Trust Centre.
