The winter festivals are starting and we also have the winter solstice happening this weekend! 

There are a few train events to enjoy as well as lots of fruit picking still around.

The National 2019, Art Exhibitions

The National 2019 Art Exhibition is being held across three Sydney venues – the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW), Carriageworks and the Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition celebrates the work of Australian artists of different generations and cultural backgrounds.

Winter Comes Alive at Rouse Hill Town Village

Winter Solstice at Coogee Bay Hotel

Two day, free festival that includes a winter street-food market. Enjoy a great range of food to eat, live fire performances, music and some surprises.

Fruit picking still happening at Andersons FarmWatsons Family Farm and Fords Farm. Canoelands still has tomato picking on as well as some great farm activities.

Disability Expo, City of Sydney, Randwick and Waverley Councils

The Disability Expo is a free event that brings together a range of disability services in one location. This event will include a variety of services including: NDIS registered providers, government agencies and community organisations.

Trams after Dark, Sydney Tramway Museum

5 Lands Walk

The 5 Lands Walk is a day-long festival which will take visitors along 10kms of spectacular Central Coast coastline. The walk will take you through MacMasters Beach, Copacabana, Avoca Beach, North Avoca an Terrigal. There will be activities and entertainment at each location.

Catch the Palm Beach ferry from Palm Beach to Ettalong and they’ll have a free shuttle bus to get you to the start (and one on the way back too!).

Farm Open Day, Pocket City Farm

Pocket City Farm is the first urban farm of its kind in Sydney. The farm includes a 1200m2 ecological market garden growing vegetables for the local community, a community food forest, composting program, propagation greenhouse, and chickens.

On their farm open day you can go on a farm tour, enjoy a twilight lantern walk, take part in a crop swap or join a workshop.
